"What is your brand? If someone asked you to describe your brand identity, your brand personality, what would you be? Are you an UP attribute? Are you something that gets the blood flowing? Or are you more of a DOWN attribute? Are you something that's a little more calm, reserved, conservative? Up attributes are things like being playful, being fresh like the Fresh Prince, contemporary, adventurous, edgy or daring like Errol Flynn, nimble or agile, profane, domineering, magical or mystical like Gandalf. Or are you more of a down attribute? Are you mindful, sophisticated like 007? Are you established, traditional, nurturing, protective, empathetic like the Oprah? Are you reliable, stable, familiar, safe, secure, sacred, contemplative or wise like the Dalai Lama or Yoda?"
Judy Laird, Wellington Art Club says:" I have to say that no highlight in the last 6 months pleased me more than the website and logo that Inga came up with. As I said at the AGM I thought it was important to acknowledge the original pumpkin cottage artists somewhere in our logo, which of course is the website header. Those artists did establish this club in 1892, afterall. I suggested to Inga that a stylized pumpkin somewhere would be nice but we definitely didn’t want to appear corny with a great big halloween type one dominating the website! Inga came up with a great design; an orange ball, which could be interpreted either as a pumpkin or a sold sticker, sitting nicely within our ‘A’ for art club which also represents the high chapel ceiling of the club rooms.
I presented the committee with several other logo/website ideas from Inga but there was one clear winner and I’m proud to say that’s what we have ended up with."
Logo design for Helen Frances, Landscape Designer. "I am thinking of something very simple and clean for a logo - a sketchy picture and text", - wrote Helen.
Logo for the Thames Society of Arts
the Thames Society of Arts
brief says: "The Thames coast is well known for its Pohutukawa trees , absolutely beautiful in December and also called the Christmas tree. We have had a festival called "Pohutukawa festival" which I think now is part of Thames Art festival. On the subject of the logo - here is a creative idea. Could they include a stylised pohutakawa somewhere in our title. It would give us some red among the black but would still photocopy black when needed. Just an idea. It would be in keeping with the Thames Coast."
