Rugby World Cup - Are you ready?

The other night I saw on “Close Up” that accommodation providers in Auckland are charging up to $900 a night for accommodation that usually only costs about $200 a night. Out of all the accommodation checked out by the Close Up team, only one hotel was keeping the same prices for the Rugby World Cup season. What I’d like to think is that we have some honest accommodation providers who are just happy to have bookings over the rugby season, as no doubt there will be an influx of visitors both from this rugby-mad nation as well as from overseas who will be looking for a place to stay, decent places to eat, and hopefully take away some New Zealand souvenirs back home with them too!
What I would like to do for the Wellington games is to phone around all accommodation providers down here to check who are the honest guys who are not going to overcharge visitors who come for the World Cup in Wellington and make a list of them on our WOW (What's On Where) Wellington site which we have built to promote our city
www.wowwellington.co.nz
Of course, our clients are entitled a
FREE listing on
WOW Wellington. If you don’t see yourself there yet, and are a small business owner in Wellington region just email us your text and photos and we will list you there for free.
Also please feel free to pass this onto to your family and friends who are small business owners. It may be a good opportunity for them to get great advertising for just $25 A YEAR (compared to $150 for one insertion of a small square ad in the local paper). People are drawing more and more towards searching for things on the internet now rather than reading ads in a newspaper. To prove this point, I quote from Kevin Saatchi’s “Moment of Truth” article which says: “The company also focuses online as more consumers research products on the internet before they buy, even for everyday items such as washing powder and snacks!”
Incidentally, if you are interested to learn about creating and selling your products online - art, e-books, souvenirs, photos - we provide you with a complete, turn-key, easy to use e-commerce system on your website - just let us know.
On WOW Wellington, we offer a FULL page ad in our Business Directory
including:
• your logo,
• up to 6 photos,
• full description,
• detailed contact info,
• Google map.
